One of the most significant difference between a wiki and a webpage (both actually look quite similar) is the existence of the EDIT button on the wiki. Most of the time, you would have to join (option is found on the sidebar when you get to a wiki) a wiki before you can actually edit the entries. Note that some wikis would allow anyone to edit whilst there are also some where you are not allowed to edit unless you have been given admin (super user) privileges.

When you click to join the wiki, the owner/administrator would have to approve your joining before you can do anything. Once you are in, and you click on EDIT, the edit bar shows up near the top of the page.

This bar offers basic font formatting as well as bullets and numbering. It also allows you to insert links (to other pages within the wiki or to external websites), picture files, widgets (some call this a higher end tool) or a table. There is also an undo and redo button. The most important button on this bar would be the SAVE button where you will commit the changes made.

With this, you are set to do up your page in whatever way this permits.
